Our efforts to delight all our members and prospective members throughout next season should be apparent from the quality of the new syllabus. This appears earlier than usual so that special dates can be transferred to your diary in good time - although EVERY Tuesday is a special date from September to May. We have a mixture of excellent speakers on a wide range of topics. As well as carefully chosen specialists from near and far, we include willing volunteers from our own membership which contains a wealth of talent and usually lends itself to a less formal evening. The long established quarterly competitions continue to encourage us to compete with each other in order to maintain that cutting edge in our own photography, as required for success in inter-club battles, etc., (these to take place in 2006 - 2007 at our competitor’s venues - details will be announced in good time). Please note also that our Digital Forum evenings at the Community Centre are there to help OUR OWN MEMBERS, as well as visitors from the local community, get to grips with the wonders of digital imaging. These sessions will often be of an informal nature, with every opportunity for members to have their say and raise any topics (ideally in advance) on which discussion may help throw some light. At Poynton we now have the bonus of two excellent venues for our meetings, both with ample on-the-spot parking and refreshment facilities. This, coupled with a cracking syllabus, some great social outings, and reasonable subscription fees, is bound to make us irresistible! We shall be looking forward to welcoming back all our existing members in September, as well as (hopefully) an influx of new faces from our local community who are keen to learn more about this enthralling hobby of ours Tony Redford |
