Regular scrutineers of the club’s comprehensive website (and that means most of us I hope) will have seen that, in addition to the prompt and regular updates there to keep us one jump ahead, an improvement has been made to the “Gallery” section. The old members’ pictures have been removed – to our shame, the same images had been sitting there for far too long. Gordon Robson has been the first to respond to our constant plea for new submissions, which is why his excellent panels stand there in splendid isolation at the moment. We don’t want him to hog the limelight for too long, so now is the time for the rest of us to make the effort and get our best pictures in the gallery.

Most members know it’s just a matter of making a small effort to resize and then e-mail the files to Peter Redford. Peter is still happy to conscientiously maintain the professional standards of our site, which incidentally draws regular compliments from interested surfers (though not often from our own members – but that’s OK!). Anyone uncertain as to what is required can get a word with me, or preferably one of the website experts in the club. Someone will be happy to sort you out. I can pass on Peter’s e-mail address to you which will bypass the possible delay encountered when using the Webmasters contact address given on the website. I can even undertake to handle the processing of your pictures for this purpose if it will encourage a flood of striking images.

Remember, the club’s website is our shop window. Let’s make sure our window dressing ranks with the best.

Tony Redford.
