Forthcoming External Competitions | |||
|
We have the usual rash of external competitions now fast approaching. Please make a note in your diary for the following events. Saturday 29th October - L&CPU knock-out slide competition. Venue Poynton Civic Hall, commencing 7.00pm prompt! Saturday 5th November – “Anglo-Scottish” Digital Print Battle. Venue Portinscale Village Hall, Keswick, commencing 4.00pm prompt! Wednesday 9th November – Individual’s “Creative Print” competition. Bramhall PS Exhibition event at the Village Club, Lumb Lane, Bramhall Thursday 10th November – Bramhall’s Inter-club Print Panel Competition AND Inter-club slide KO Competition at the Village Hall, Bramhall. (Hall open from 7pm with competitions commencing 8.00pm for both the above Exhibition events at Bramhall) Monday 14th November – Southport PS “Who are the Champions” special invitation Digital Imaging event at Southport – 7.45pm start. Thursday 17th November – Oldham P.S. Monochrome Print Competition at Oldham, commencing 7.45pm. Note: The other inter-club slide competition scheduled for Saturday 29th October has been cancelled by the hosts, Chapel en le Frith CC., as the date clashed with the L&CPU event at Poynton. (We didn’t know either – until AFTER six of our 12 best slides had been selected and list submitted in accordance with their rules. Our other six have been sent to the L&CPU, whose event SHOULD materialise). Our Digital Prints have now been selected and submitted to the judge in preparation for the weekend battle at Keswick. All members are encouraged to bring in their best prints, slides and/or digital files for consideration by the selection committee for the other forthcoming battles. If we all make the effort and root out our best pictures, we should feature strongly in ANY competition. Tony Redford |
