Annual Exhibition Update | |||

In the past Gordon Robson has done much of the admin work of the Exhibition himself. But as the Exhibition has grown so has this work and with Gordon seeking a rest the moment arrived for a new look at our structure. Following consultation Gordon had drawn up a schematic of jobs together with the names of people willing to be responsible for them.. This has effectively defined the new sub-committee whose names are: Bill Chadband; Roger Dye, Gordon Robson, Frank Hutchinson, Tony and Peter Redford, Alan Wild, Joyce Streets, Barry Pearson, Sandra Brown. Bill agreed to be the Exhibition Co-ordinator. Gordon had already booked the judges for the inter-club Digital, and Slide competitions, and more recently Tony Pioli has agreed to present an Extravaganza on the Peak District on the Friday. As reported above, Roger Dye is in the process of sending invitations to clubs to participate in the 2006 Exhibition. I anticipate that much of my job as Co-ordinator can be done by email, with copies of letters etc to other sub-committee members to keep them informed. During the Autumn, as the Exhibition date approaches and the pressure builds up I propose that we have a sub-committee get-together for mutual comfort and support. Bill Chadband |
