A total of 37, a record take-up to date, have been booked into the Derwentwater Hotel for the GREAT ANGLO-SCOTTISH BATTLE – 29 from North Cheshire P.S and 8 from South Manchester C.C (you see we CAN beat our local rivals). Following our famous victory over mighty Sheffield as recently reported, we hope for great things when pitted against the pride of Scotland, the toughest from the North East and the best from the West – as we will be on the Saturday evening.

The hotel are assuring us of their warmest welcome again and Jack Bamford, our West Cumbrian organiser, is doing his best to arrange the weather to enhance the most sparklingly colourful weekend of the year in that corner of the Lake District. The hotel has confirmed safe receipt of your deposits. Thanks to everyone for passing them on to me with minimal hassle.
