Winning Images - and why !

A number of members showed images which had been successful for them in recent, or much earlier, competitions and exhibitions. Prints, including monochrome, slides and digital images were shown covering a wide range of subject, style and taste. Members explained when and where the images were obtained, and in the case of the digital images how they had been manipulated; and answered questions about technique, etc. From the response to individual presentations it was clear that members enjoyed the evening though it is fair to say that there was not a lot of emphasis on WHY the images were winners. Also, from the discussion I guess that not all members were initially clear what the evening was to be about.

So many members brought images that viewing these took the whole evening and the prepared presentation of award winning images from L&CPU competitions had to be deferred.
