A packed room of 45 people greeted Judge Cy Newton for this second club competition. The judge had 6 Beginners prints, 55 advanced prints and 18 slides to deal with. He was enthusiastic about the high standard of the images and generous in his comments. Since prints predominated he looked to President Tony Redford to tell him when it was interval time. Having dealt with the prints he moved to the back of the room to pronounce on the slldes, and performed the near impossible of finishing almost exactly at 10pm.

In proposing the vote of thanks David Billington complimented the judge on his considerable knowledge and impeccable timing. His enthusiasm shone through, Cy responded that it had indeed been a pleasurable process judging the images.
