On Thursday 17th May eight members/wives travelled in two cars to Leighton Moss Bird Reserve. They were Tony and Dorothy, Bill and Milly, Gordon, Frank, Colin and Barry. We visited half a dozen hides during the day, but though we heard the booming of the bittern we saw mostly black-headed Gulls and Ducks The lone Heron kept his distance, but the Robin, and the ducks were more obliging. But never mind the photography, the Reserve is a splendid place to walk around, and the Café meals were equally good.
