| Exhibition Update | ||||
| With well over 200 prints submitted for the exhibition (a very healthy sign) and hanging space for less than 150, concern was felt that too large a number of good pictures would be unrepresented during exhibition week. For this reason, all the “unhung” prints have been photographed and will be displayed on a monitor, complete with author’s name and title, at the front of the hall. Although not an ideal way to view properly mounted prints, at least everyone’s total submissions will be there for all to see.
Furthermore, a selection from this set has been placed on view in the library for the next couple of weeks to help publicise the exhibition.
As usual, also displayed at the front of the hall during the exhibition will be the slide entry, consisting of 60+ slides (unsurprisingly down on last year) to be back-projected with an adjacent monitor displaying author, title and award where appropriate. As announced at recent meetings, help in erecting the exhibition on Wednesday afternoon at 1.00pm will be greatly appreciated. TONY REDFORD (President) |
