| Winston Bartlett JP - Sad News | |||||
| NCPS members of long-standing will well remember a rotund and jovial figure, always ready to praise and encourage, who served as a highly respected President of NCPS some years ago. This distinguished gentleman was a regular on Tuesdays at the civic hall for many years until his health, and eyesight, took a considerable turn for the worse a few years ago.
They will all be saddened by the news that Winston passed away last week. Mrs Bartlett (who we all know as Flo) telephoned me at the weekend and requested I let his many friends at the Society know of this sad loss. Our thoughts will be with Flo, who was always at Winston’s side, and was herself a regular and willing helper at the club. A service is to be held at Stockport Crematorium on Friday, 1st June at 2.15pm and no doubt a number of our members will wish to attend. Tony Redford |
