| The Rosalind Bramley Pictorial Monochrome Print Competition | |||||
| For the benefit of our new members, Rosalind was a very well known and respected photographer who sadly died in 1996. She was an excellent monochrome worker with a ‘seeing eye’ that she used to produce impressive images from the shapes and shadows she saw in her surroundings. Trees were also one of her favourite subjects. We often saw expressive and telling portraits from her journeys to far away places as well as those taken nearer home. John, her husband, asked the club to arrange an Annual Pictorial Monochrome Print Competition in her memory and donated a Cup to be presented to the winner. He wanted the club members to choose the best image.
This year it has been decided to give a whole evening to this competition (on May 22nd) so you have plenty of time to produce your entries! 3 entries per person are allowed and the images should have been taken in the last 12 months. The minimum size of prints is 10 x 8 inches. All the prints are to be mounted but there is no restriction on the mount size. Previous entries are not allowed. Jill Hargeaves |
