New Venue for Digital Forum Evenings
Regular attendees at the Poynton Community Centre sessions, where we have been holding our Digital Forum evenings on the first Tuesday of each month, will be quick to acknowledge the need for change. The influx of prospective line dance experts to their class in an adjacent room, with the obligatory boom-boom “music” to accompany them, has evolved from distraction to impossible competition as far as our quietly spoken speakers and hard of hearing audience is concerned! Their taking over of the car park is just one more reason for our move becoming inevitable.

So it is from 2nd January 2007, our next schedule Digital Forum, and on the first Tuesdays in the months to follow, we shall meet at a brand new venue for NCPS. It is confidently predicted that we shall have ample parking, a quiet and sizeable room to ourselves, and good refreshment facilities at a convenient location albeit just beyond the Poynton boundary - namely The Hazel Grove Bowling and Tennis Club on Douglas Road, Hazel Grove – just behind and parallel to the main A6 through the town.

Details were handed to those at our last digital meeting to be held at the Community Centre, and will be announced at our regular meetings up to that date, and a map is also appended hereto for anyone still in doubt.

This is a good opportunity to stress to our members that these meetings are part of our regular syllabus of course, and although intended to encourage new members to look in, we hope the established membership will take full advantage of what’s on offer.

Needless to say, all our other meetings (apart from these first-Tuesday-in-the-month sessions) will continue to be held at our regular venue – the Civic Hall, Poynton, where we look forward with enthusiasm to the continued sharing of our hobby throughout 2007 and beyond.
