Martin Avery Trophy Competition

Held at South Liverpool PS, Thursday 16th November 2006

The Martin Avery Trophy Competition was held for the third time at South Liverpool PS who put on a very well managed event. Bill Chadband, Dorothy Redford and myself represented the Club, Tony Redford arrived from a speaking engagement in Wigan in time for the closing stages of the event.

Images had been collected in advance on CD allowing their projection, annotated with titles, in parallel with the display and judging of the actual prints - the Sony projector used by the host club displayed the images very faithfully. The judge, David Butler, of Wigan 10 (who will also judge our forthcoming Annual Exhibition) scored to a high standard to reflect the high quality of the work submitted, and gave extensive and helpful comments on each image.
